Weirdness is a virtue, and I am a saint. Or I sometimes try to be. But honestly, doing anything so you are different or so you are not is a poor reason to do anything. That's like saying “That's the way I was raised.” While true, how you were raised is a vitally important factor in your makeup, it should not be your line of reasoning. You should be able to support it with logic, right?

On the other hand, there are things which cannot be logically disseminated. They are the building foundations of your belief system. One of my basic blocks, for example, which I cannot adequately support is: “all life is of an infinite, and therefore equal, value”. I can sort of suspend this belief from above by saying: “What would make anything more valuable? That it is bigger? Faster? Smarter? Hmmm…. 'All men are created equal', though… And I don't really see why that makes you 'better' or 'more valuable'. It only makes you bigger, faster, or smarter, or whatever.” See what I mean? Really, the latter line of reasoning is supported by the former, even if it helps suspend it.

I think that is actually a pretty good illustration of who I am.
